The LIU RED Book is the document through which the current status of and plan for the development of an educational institution is managed. The RED Book summarises the proposals of the WFME regarding the desirable features, services and facilities of a medical educational institution. These are discussed and explored with each institution, and the extent to which they have been achieved is evaluated. Based on this evaluation, a plan for the future is developed jointly with the institution, identifying those areas where efforts will be made to improve the quality of the institution during the coming year. Of course the situation is re-evaluated annually and the achievements of the institution are highlighted and endorsed. Then the cycle begins again as the institution pursues its quest to achieve the highest possible standards of quality and performance in the management of its staff and students. Access beyond this point requires participant enrolment. |
